Jack Cronin Memorial Scholarship
The Maine Golf Course Superintendents Association by means of a charitable and educational trust is offering A (one) scholarship for an individual of the immediate family of a MGCSA member in good standing, who is deserving, and plans to continue their education in any subject or field. This scholarship is in the amount up to $500. Students are allowed to reapply in following years.
lf in the opinion of the Supt. Assoc. Scholarship Committee, a candidate is worthy and can meet the requirements of the scholarship application, the Committee shall invite the applicant to proceed with his application. The application shall then be judged with all other applicants and a selection of a recipient will be made by the Scholarship Committee.
The requirements are as follows:
l.) This scholarship is for an individual of the immediate family of a MGCSA member in good standing.
2) The applicant must have a High School degree or equivalent with a grade point average of C or higher
3) A candidate must be outstanding in character, integrity and leadership as shown in his/her participation in extracurricular activities in his school or community.
All candidates for this scholarship must submit the following with the application:
l.) A transcript from his secondary school and/or all other schools attended.
2.) A letter of recommendation from a member of MGCSA in good standing.

MGCSA SCHOLARSHIP
The Maine Golf Course superintendents Association by means of a charitable and educational trust is offering scholarships for those individuals who are deserving, are active in turf management, and plan to continue their education in the turf field. This scholarship is in the amount up to $1,000. Two and Four year students are allowed to reapply in following years.
If in the opinion of the Supt Assoc. Scholarship Committee, a candidate is worthy and can meet the requirements of the scholarship application, the Committee shall invite the applicant to proceed with his application. The application shall then be judged with all other applicants and a selection of a recipient, or recipients will be made by the Scholarship Committee.

1.) A candidate must show an active interest in turf management,
2.) A candidate must be enrolled in a turf management program or have been accepted into one.
3.) A candidate must be a graduate of an accredited secondary school.
4.) A candidate must be outstanding in character, integrity and leadership as shown in his/her participation in extracurricular activities in his school or community.

Roger Lowell Memorial Scholarship
The
Maine Golf Course Superintendents Association by means of a charitable
and educational trust is offering A (one time) scholarship for an individual
who is deserving, and plans to attend an approved winter school for Turf Management. This scholarship amount is up to $1,930.00 (or not to exceed the cost of UMASS Winter School tuition).
lf in the opinion of the Supt. Assoc. Scholarship Committee, a candidate is worthy and can meet the requirements of the scholarship application, the Committee shall invite the applicant to proceed with his application. The application shall then be judged with all other applicants and a selection of a recipient will be made by the Scholarship Committee.
