Responsible for the overall operation of golf course maintenance. These responsibilities include turf grass maintenance, property management, irrigation maintenance, pesticide applications and recording, personnel management,  and member relations. The golf course superintendent works to create an environment where staff is enthusiastic, with open communication and respect for themselves, members, guests, and the property. The candidate must be able to work within the Audubon Sanctuary Program guidelines.



  • Directs and participates in the construction and maintenance of the grounds

Norway CC is a public 9 hole golf course that is currently seeking a dedicated individual eager to learn and improve their skills in golf course turf management. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, professional, able to problem solve, and has the desire to become a leader. This position works closely with the acting Superintendent and Pro Shop Manager to ensure the best playing conditions and experience is provided to members and guests.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Oversees the care and maintenance of the turf, ornamental plants, shrubs, trees and wetlands on the facility grounds.
  • Directs and assists the staff on the planting of new vegetation, the replacement, spraying, pruning and trimming of trees and shrubs, the preparation of soil plant beds for aesthetically pleasing arrangements and tending to high stress areas.

  • Supervises and participates in the application and recording of chemical applications (fertilizers and pesticides) on the Club's grounds in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
