Summary of the Position
Country Club Enterprises, the region’s largest golf car distributor, is seeking an aggressive, confident, and competitive professional with a solid background in outside business development. You must be comfortable working independently and building strong business relationships. The job will entail golf and utility vehicle sales in the state of Maine and part of New Hampshire.


Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Managing existing customer relationships and establishing new ones
  • Developing and managing a pipeline of potential opportunities
  • Achieving and exceeding business development quotas
  • Mastering negotiation and time management skills
  • Prepare lease and/or purchase proposals tailored to customer needs
  • Submit detailed orders to appropriate personnel with clear and concise information

What we require:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent training and experience

  • Strong preference for sales experience in durable goods industry, golf, turf or agriculture
  • Experience using Salesforce and/or strong comfort with technology
  • Comfort driving pick-up truck with trailer, 48,000+ miles a year
  • Golf skills and knowledge of golf operations a plus

A beautiful 9 Hole Robert Trent Jones Sr. design course located on the banks of the Saco River, about 10 miles south of Portland. New owners have invested considerable capital into the course and grounds over the last two years and continue to expand the property.  In July we opened the River Tap & Grill which seats 110 inside and 50+ on a great deck overlooking the river and first tee. We have about 70 members and people are saying the course is in the best shape they have seen in 20 years. This is a year-round, full time position at Southern Maines Finest Nine!

Responsible for operation of the golf course and grounds maintenance. The responsibilities include: turf grass/plant material maintenance programs, property/asset management, personnel management, budget/forecasting, financial management, member relations, scheduling/maintenance of irrigation systems, pesticide applications, related recordings, and compliance of regulatory issues. The Golf Course Superintendent works to create an environment where staff is involved and enthusiastic, with open communications and respect for themselves, members, guests and owner.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 years experience as a Golf Superintendent or 1st Assistant

  • 2-year Degree or Certificate in Turf Management (or related field, like agronomy, horticulture, plant science, soil science).

  • Valid Driver's License.

  • Pesticide Application License or must obtain in 30 days

Duties Description: Golf Club of New England is seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic to oversee and maintain a broad spectrum of turf care equipment. The equipment manager/mechanic will be responsible for a fleet of John Deere greens, tees, fairway and rough mowers. John Deere tractors, gators and aerifiers. Club Car carts (member carts and utility carts), as well as many other small pieces of Stihl and Honda equipment. The equipment tech must possess good organizational and record keeping skills. Must be able to perform moderate physical labor. Must be able to communicate with superintendent and assistant superintendent on a daily basis. Must be responsible for ordering parts and keeping track of inventory. Proficiency in Express Dual 3000 and Angle Master 3000 grinding is preferred. Has an understanding of reel grinding and mower setup and the effect on course conditions. Has the ability to establish preventative maintenance programs. Shop organization skills. Understanding of golf course equipment electronics and hydraulics. Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize.
